Jamboree Medical Process

Posted on Nov 18 2016 - 11:32am

In order to attend the 2017 National Scout Jamboree, ALL participants (Staff, Leaders and Youth) are required to have a medical exam and submit the BSA's required Annual Health and Medical Record (AHMR).

Here is the link to the Jamboree Medical Process website: http://www.summitbsa.org/events/jamboree/overview/jamboree-medical-process/

Important Notes:

1. Submission of the AHMR is an online, multi-step process.

2. The AHMR must be current and completed within 1 year of the Jamboree (i.e. after July 1, 2016).

3. Here is the link for the Summit specific AHMR form - http://www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_summit.pdf.

4. Participants will need to provide a copy of the AHMR to the Jamboree Adult Leaders.

National Jamboree

Posted on Apr 1 2016 - 5:04pm

Join us as we embark on a BSA trip of a lifetime. We are limited to 36 scouts for a 15 day package that include one overnight stay in New York City and four nights in Washington DC prior to arriving at the Jamboree. Dates are 7/15-7/29.

The 2017 National Jamboree will be held at The Summit Bechtel Reserve located on the New River and nestled in the West Virginia Mountains. Circle Ten Council has the largest contingent of Scouts and Leaders attend in the whole United States and we would like to offer you the opportunity to be a part of this once in a lifetime event, where you will join more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the country as they find out first-hand what it’s like to Live Scouting’s Adventure!

Summit Bechtel Reserve

Posted on Apr 1 2016 - 5:03pm

In 2009, the BSA purchased 10,600 acres of property adjacent to West Virginia’s New River Gorge National River area in order to create the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve. The Summit is the new home of achievement, adventure, and innovation in Scouting. With world-class facilities and a focus on outdoor action sports, the Summit welcomed Scouts to a whole new jamboree experience in summer 2013. 2017 is the next national jamboree and The Summit will also be hosting the 2019 World Jamboree.
